The 364-day T-bill paid 9.04% at the latest auction. After 15% withholding tax that's a real return of 7.58% a year.

How to read this
You pay the price now and get KSh 100,000 back at maturity. The 15% tax on the difference is paid upfront, which is why the net return is lower than the auction rate. For comparison, the Central Bank Rate is 8.75% and inflation is 6.8% (Sep 2026).
